Outlier months in billed charges
For the latest 12 monthly totals of billed charges, identify unusual months using modified z-scores: 0.6745 times deviation from the median divided by MAD, with absolute scores above 3.5 flagged. If MAD is zero, report no flags. Compare the original mean with the mean after clipping totals to median plus/minus 3 MAD, and discuss the planning sensitivity without treating flags as errors.
