Finance Business Intelligence Analyst

Finance, sales, procurement, production and HR all want their numbers — on one model, from the source databases, not from exports. You build the dashboards each of them actually opens.

  • 2 industries · 29 questions
  • No deadline — submit when your answers and files are complete
  • Badge: Top 10% / Top 25% / Completed
  • Typical market pay · USD 3,000–4,000 / monthIndicative only — not an offer.
  • Free at every stage

The role

You turn finance and operational data into the dashboards a whole company runs on. Sales wants margin by store and promotion, procurement wants supplier cost and quality, production wants scrap, overrun and on-time delivery, and the CEO wants six numbers that say whether the business is on track. You build one model that serves all of them, straight from the source databases, and you know the finance behind every measure.

  • Power BI models on a clean star schema, built from the source databases rather than spreadsheet exports
  • DAX for every department: margin, discount and promotion dilution, cost variance, scrap, on-time delivery, working capital
  • Three layers of reporting: a CEO page, manager pages with drill-down, and daily action lists for the operations team
  • Financial analysis and management reporting: what moved, why, and who should act
  • Python for the heavier data work and checks the model cannot do on its own

What we look for

  • Power BI modelling and fluent DAX — time intelligence, ranking, conditional formatting driven by measures
  • SQL and relational database basics; comfortable with data outside the finance function
  • Dashboards designed for non-finance users: the right page for the right person
  • Finance grounding: management reporting, variance analysis, working capital
  • Good to have: Python basics (pandas); Oracle Fusion data — GL, AP, AR, Procurement, CRM and Payroll / HCM — via OTBI or BI Publisher extracts

What you'll be tested on

Two Data Dare datasets. Type an answer per question, and upload your solved Power BI file for each dataset — required, and what the reviewer reads. A Python notebook is optional and strengthens your profile. No deadline: submit when your work is complete. Datasets unlock when you apply.

About this dataset

How we rank

Correct answers and a working model. Both count.

Every submission is reviewed. Top 10% and Top 25% get a badge you can post on LinkedIn; everyone who submits gets a Completed badge and their rank. We never publish a rank without your say-so.

Straight talk. This is a findi360 Talent Pool role: a market-real profile, not a live vacancy. Ranked profiles are what we take to employers through Corporate Solutions. We will tell you when your profile is shared and with what kind of company. No fee — ever.
