Group Consolidation Analyst

The role

You own the monthly group close for a holding company with eight operating subsidiaries — trading, manufacturing, real estate, healthcare, logistics, retail, services and a captive finance arm. Each runs its own ledger and chart of accounts. Your job is one consolidated P&L, balance sheet and cash flow that the board trusts, delivered by working day 5.

• Map eight charts of accounts to one group chart; keep the mapping table, not a spreadsheet of overrides
• Intercompany eliminations — sales, loans, dividends, management fees — matched and cleared before close, not after
• One Power BI consolidation model: entity → group with drill-through to the posting entity and journal
• Minority interest, goodwill and fair-value adjustments as model logic, documented in plain English
• Month-end variance commentary drafted with AI assistance and reviewed by you — you sign it, not the tool

What we look for

• Accounting qualification (CA / ACCA / CMA / CPA) or final-stage with group reporting experience
• Power Query and DAX that survive a schema change; Excel for checks, not for the model
• Comfortable asking "does this reconcile?" before "does this look right?"
• Nice to have: SQL, a first Fabric or Python project, IFRS 10 / IFRS 18 exposure

What you'll be tested on
