FP&A Analyst with AI tools

The role

You run the monthly performance pack for a hospital group: budget vs actual by site, department and payer, the drivers behind each variance, and the commentary the CFO takes to the board. You use an AI assistant to draft, summarise and check — and you are accountable for every number and every sentence that leaves your desk.

• Monthly variance packs by site and department, with drivers (volume, price, mix, cost) separated
• Driver-based budgets and rolling forecasts in Excel and Power BI — one model, not six
• AI-assisted commentary: drafted by the tool, verified and rewritten by you, signed by you
• Ad-hoc analysis for site directors — fast, sourced, reproducible

What we look for

• Part-qualified or qualified with 2+ years in FP&A or management accounting
• Excel that is structured (tables, named ranges, no hard-codes) and Power BI you can read and change
• Already using an AI assistant for real work — and able to say what it got wrong last week
• Writes clearly: a variance is explained, not just reported

What you'll be tested on

Two Data Dare datasets. Type an answer per question, and upload your solved Power BI file for each dataset — required, and what the reviewer reads. A Python notebook is optional and strengthens your profile. No deadline: submit when your work is complete. Datasets unlock when you apply.
